Testimonials

Lucia and Natalia have shown enormous commitment to supporting and learning of each individual student on their course, from their roles as coach, counsellor, and facilitators.
They have taken the girls on a transformational journey. The result has been a deeper level of self awareness in the students that has given them clarity and vision regarding their own futures, as well as the confidence to handle challenges that come their way with authenticity and courage.
The practical project-based element of the course has demanded a high level of planning and communication amongst the students and I noticed the huge progress made in their oral presentation skills which are all important in today's world.

What our Learn to Lead Graduates 2024 say about us

“Learn to Lead has helped me to see the world through a different lens. In my opinion it helps to strengthen one’s critical thinking, empathy and positive mindset. as well as point out the aspects of ite that are verv easy to miss. Most importantly, it helps for one to understand their own strengths and weaknesses, and apply those to real life in the project.”

“It answers a lot of questions I didn’t even know I had, very eye-opening and thought provoking. The sessions are delivered without judgement. Together we created a comfortable environment where everyone was willing to share their outlook. I feel ready and confident to use the skills learnt.”

“I absolutely loved this course, It was so useful and I learnt lots of brilliant life skills which will be so beneficial in my life. Lucy and Tali are so supportive and available to talk to at any point.”

The increase of confidence in the students taking this course has been astounding. They are more collaborative, self-aware and resilient which is having a positive impact in their day to day interactions and achievements. It has been lovely to see them using the skills they have learned in the classroom, Boarding Houses and when presenting to a large audience. I would recommend The Learn to Lead Project wholeheartedly!

Lucia and I teamed up to create a leadership skills program in 2017 and since then we have run the Moodie and Labouchere leadership development and coaching organisation. I continue my work as a Professor of Public Health at the University of Melbourne.
Throughout my career, I increasingly recognised that no matter how good a clinician or researcher you are, you can not succeed as a leader, or even as a good team member, without learning the fundamental human skills of effective leadership. These skills are all learnable and the earlier you start to learn them the better!
Imagine if we were taught these skills in schools, it would mean we would have many more emotionally intelligent, compassionate leaders in every sector, getting the most out of themselves and their colleagues. I wholly support the work Lucia and Tali are doing in taking these skills to schools. Lucia is a highly skilled and deeply caring facilitator and I recommend that every school utilize their program to see the really positive difference it can make at student and at staff level.

This course changed the culture of the school. The shift this course engendered to being more collaborative and assuming the best of each other, changed dynamics in the team and optimized our productivity.

Lucia, you are an inspiration!

Dr Bridget Freyne

Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases Children’s Health Ireland

This is a course like no other.  It really makes you change for the better. You will listen more deeply, you will ask better questions and get better answers, you will learn to assume the best in others and lay down boundaries so that you can stick by your values and be a compassionate, generous leader.  It is a culture changer and something we all need to learn, preferably starting at school level.  Why are we not taught this at school?

Dr Eleanor MacPherson

University of Glasgow

When I first started managing a team, I was fortunate to be enrolled in a leadership training course led by Lucia Labouchere and Rob Moodie.

Five years on, I still apply so much of what I learned, a true testament to its lasting impact. One of the most important lessons was seeing leadership as a practice we develop, rather than a title we hold. True leadership lies in how we inspire, guide, and support others. This sort of leadership development should be embedded at all levels, encouraging us to see leadership as a skill we all can cultivate.

The course has been instrumental in enhancing my self-awareness and equipping me with tools to inspire the same in others. I’ve learned how to ask powerful, thought-provoking questions that evoke awareness and challenge individuals to co-create solutions. My curiosity has grown significantly, and I now see it as a powerful asset in fostering self-reflection and personal growth in those I will coach. The course provides you with a structured framework to build lasting skills in coaching and leadership, and the tools you acquire are immediately applicable, both professionally and personally.

This course is more than just skills-building; it’s a journey of transformation.
