This programme has been designed to create a positive and fun working environment within schools. It fosters a culture of coaching, mentoring and general optimism. Feedback from the last cohort includes ‘it completely changed the culture of the school for the better, as empathetic as we are, as teachers we didn’t always demonstrate that empathy to our colleagues, we tended to save it for the children and therefore this shift to being more collaborative and assuming the best of each other changed the feeling and dynamics of the way we operated.’
This is an International Coaching Federation accredited course at level one which means that those who complete it can then, once they complete 100 hours of coaching and an exam, become accredited coaches.
We send out questionnaires and hold one to one coaching sessions with all participants to ensure we tailor the course to each individual’s area of desired growth.
We meet together in London for a 5 full day training week. In this week we focus on leadership of self, leadership of others and then leadership within systems. We teach practical and tangible skills that encourage our participants to become a good person with the confidence to make good choices. The final day of the course focuses on the future, planning next steps and taking part in a leadership panel with a guest speaker. For more information on course contents please do get in touch and we can send you our detailed brochure.
The participants work either alone or in groups on an action learning project of their choice, starting on the first day of the Intensive training week and finishing at the end of the 6 months. The project gives the participants the opportunity to intentionally practice the skills learnt during the course while receiving continual support and monitoring, including monthly team coaching sessions, as they conceive, develop and complete their chosen projects. After the initial week of training, further project work can take place online ensuring everyone can take part regardless of their geographical location.
We will follow the cohort closely throughout the programme, asking for feedback and suggestions as we go so as to make it as impactful as possible. At the end of the course each participant will have a one to one coaching to reflect upon their progress and to finalise their plans moving forwards. We will then provide an evaluation report for each participant acknowledging the learning, behaviour change and outcomes that have taken place.
This mix of face to face training, project work and team coaching ensures sustainability and maximum impact as it allows the participants to purposefully practice their learning with our regular input and support, for the duration of the programme. Participants have access to a counsellor and coach to support them in any area neccessary for their professional and personal development for the duration of the course.
Our next Leadership Skills for Young Professionals programme begins in September 2024 with the 5 day training week taking place in central London, please get in touch if you would like to join us.
