One to One Coaching

The impact of good coaching goes way beyond the sessions.  It will change your perspective on situations and life, it will energise you to think big, it will help you take steps towards acting big, it will help you support others by adopting the approach of asking powerful questions and as a group of people become familiar with the coaching approach, the culture of environments changes for the better, becoming psychologically safe and brave, human focused and inspiring.

One to one coaching provides the space for you to think differently to how you would on your own.  The coach uses integrative coaching and psychotherapeutic approaches to support you in identifying what it is that you want to achieve and how to get there.  You will work through what might get in the way and end up with a clear action plan.   You might focus on something fairly practical if that is what you want, or you might deep dive and look at who you are, what your belief systems are and how you might challenge them so that you can really thrive.

The process:

Some of our programmes include one-one coaching sessions.  Often there are two sessions.  The first one helps the participant to focus on what they want from the programme at the beginning and then they have access to another session at the end where they reflect on the programme, what they are taking away from it and what the exact steps are that they are going to take next. They leave a programme with a clear written plan complete with deadlines.  Two sessions are enough to ask and answer some deep questions, it is also enough time to identify whether more consistent one-one coaching might be a powerful addition for the participant.

It is also possible to work more intensively with a coach and to have fortnightly or monthly sessions to support the application of the skills being learnt on the programme, this is an add-on and not included in programme costs.   The wonderful thing about coaching is that it goes way beyond what is and what is not said in a session, it is an approach that changes people, it helps them to acknowledge who they are and who they want to become, and it sees them stepping towards that.  We often get stuck when we think we don’t know what we want or when we think we cannot have what we want, and coaching is very effective at supporting people in overcoming barriers of all kinds.

Team Coaching

We are part of teams almost every day and yet we are not taught how to be a part of them nor do we have the opportunity to practice being a part of them, to try new ways of doing things, to consciously act in a way that we know will benefit the team.  Conflict is inevitable and yet we are not taught that.  There are a clear set of skills that are needed in teams.

These skills are covered in the programmes and then participants are divided into teams to run an Action Learning Project.  Each month they meet with a team coach who will work with them to recognise what is going well and what is harder for them as a team, the coach will support them in working through conflict and will ensure that all members are listened to.

Many professional teams now receive team coaching and benefit greatly as it irons out difficulties and conflicts before they have time to become anything too significant.  It also provides a space for the team to think big and brainstorm that they can really make a difference to their workplace keeping it happy, healthy with plenty of great results.

Lucia is an accredited team coach and leads the way in this process.  It is a fun and hugely rewarding process.
